The engine room — purposeful strength, power and conditioning

Strength & Conditioning

S&C at MHP means training built for a purpose: the wrestler who must still explode in minute six, or the athlete who wants to be stronger, more resilient and less injured. There is no generic program here.

FOR YOU

This program is for you if…

  • You are a wrestler or competitive athlete
  • You want measurable strength and power gains
  • You have an injury history and need principled loading
  • You want the right physical base for any sport

TRAINING

What you will train

01

Wrestling-specific strength

Pull, press, grip and trunk strength — the movement patterns of the fight itself.

02

Power & explosiveness

Jumps, throws and ballistics; speed of technique starts here.

03

Specific conditioning

Energy-system work built around the real rhythm of a match.

04

Mobility

Healthy ranges of motion for technique execution and injury prevention.

05

Testing & assessment

Periodic strength, power and conditioning tests — progress in numbers.

06

Scientific phasing

Seasonal programming: general, specific, peak, recovery — each phase with its own goal.

Why generic programs fail athletes

Generic bodybuilding is designed for bigger muscles, not faster technique. A competitive athlete needs strength in their sport's movement patterns, explosive power, and conditioning that matches match rhythm.

At MHP every strength program starts from a needs analysis of the sport and an assessment of the athlete — and is measured with periodic testing.

Group or private?

Both run year-round: capacity-capped group sessions for matched athletes, and fully private programming for special goals or return from injury.

Schedule

The detailed session timetable is announced each term. Contact the club for this week's schedule.

FAQ

Program FAQ

Is this only for wrestlers?

No — the foundation is preparation science, personalized for any competitive athlete or anyone who wants a proper physical base.

From what age is strength training safe?

With age-appropriate loading under a coach, resistance training for teenagers is not only safe — it protects against injury. Details are set at the intake assessment.
